3.) His Dark Materials Trilogy by Phillip Pullman
4.) Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness
5.) Lord of the Rings Trilogy by J R R Tolkien

8.) The Gentleman Bastard Series by Scott Lynch
9.) Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning
10.) The Dark Towers Series by Stephen King
When it comes to books and if they're in a series, I am an absolute sucker and will buy the complete series. There is an amazing new/used bookstore in my town that has the best prices on books. If I see a book that I've been interested in for a while AND the complete series is there too, I'll go ahead and buy it.
Not only because I want to read it but also because it'll make my library look super nice with the complete set.
The series that I have listed above are series that are already complete, with no more books coming out.
Don't even get me started on the series I have but are still waiting for their sequel's to be release (or written)
I'll give you a glimpse...
Splintered Series by A.G. Howard
Splintered (#1) & Unhinged (#2)
The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss
Name of the Wind (#1) & The Wise Mans Fear (#2)
The Stormlight Archives by Brandon Sanderson
They Way of the King (#1) & Words of Radiance (#2)
...remember, that's just a glimpse!!
It's hard to keep me away from a series!
I just love em so.....

♥ BIG HUGS and Lots of Love ♥
I LOVE the His Dark Materials series. It's a bit controversial if you look at it from a religious standpoint, but if you look at it solely as epic reading...you're bound to be impressed! It's a great series, and I hope you DO read it someday!
ReplyDeleteI've actually read The Golden Compass and was blown away! I gave it 5 stars! I can't believe it's taking me so long to read on with the series but one day, soon, I'll pick it back up! I will get to the conclusion of the story! I PROMISE!
DeleteThanks for stopping by Melissa! xoxo
I love reading your lists! Totally agree about the LOTR series, I need to read these! And I am desperate to get into Patrick Ness! I too am waiting on Patrick Rothfuss' next book! thanks for dropping by on my list, you MUST read Eragon! Seriously!!!

I know! I wish I could just pause time, read all of these books listed and then chat about them. So many damn good books!!!
DeleteThanks for stopping by Katrina ♥
I have plenty of books on my bookshelf that I really should read. And may I just say you need to read the Chaos Walking trilogy immediately. I love that series.

I know i know! I hear nothing but great things about that series. I even have the audio for the first book. Hopefully I'll start it soon
Deletethanks for stopping by xoxo
My bookshelf might as well be labeled "To Be Read". I am terrible about buying more and more books.
ReplyDeleteExactly! I need to have two bookcases, one for books read and one for "TBR". TBR bookcase would definitely be fuller than the read :( mostly b/c of all of the books in a series! lol
Deletethanks for stopping by Tiffany xoxo
Lord of the Rings, Seven Realms and Fever series are all fantastic that you should definitely read. By the way, the Gentlemen Bastard series still has books coming out; one will come out later this year. But you need to start that series, too, because they're awesome!

I just found out that there will be eight books total in the Gentleman Bastard series! AHHHH! That's crazy! I need to jump on it, SOON!!! Man, do I wish I could just freeze time and read all these books! That saying "so many books, so little time" is so true!
DeleteThe only one of these series that i've read all the way is The Inheritance Cycle. It was really good but took me a while to get through! I love having matching sets for my bookshelf too!
ReplyDeleteI really need to continue with The Chaos Walking trilogy. I enjoyed The Knife of Never Letting Go! Great list.
ReplyDeleteYAY! I am not the only one who has a problem with buying series and then not getting to them. I currently have so many sitting on my bookshelves that I haven't got to yet. I have read His Dark Materials and it's one of my favourite book series so I definitely recommend that one. I also really enjoyed the Chaos Walking trilogy. I also own all the Inheritance Cycle books and the LOTR book so I definitely need to read those. I hope you manage to get to them all :)
ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to read The Seven Realms series for so long! I must get to it! :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! It's been sitting in my bookcase for almost 2 years now :(
DeleteI'm horrible! LOL
thanks for stopping by Sara :)
Chaos Walking is one series I really need to read!
ReplyDeleteMissie @ A Flurry of Ponderings
Everyone is telling me that it's a must read!!!
Deleteaaaaaaaaah so many of these series are so special and close to my heart! You have to finish Chaos walking, the Bartimaeus books, the Gentleman Bastard series (just so you know, there's 8 books planned and only 3 are out so far), and Mistborn! And I really enjoyed all the rest too haha
ReplyDelete- Kritika @ Snowflakes & Spider Silk
WOW~! Eight books! That's crazy but excited. I better get on it! Right now I'm reading The Final Empire from the Mistborn Trilogy (and loving it) I did read and listen to book 1, The Amulet of Samarkand, from The Bartimaeus Trilogy and OMG! It was so great. One of my favorite audio's. Thanks for stopping by and filling me in as well! I'm looking forward to the journey ahead of me!
DeleteHappy Reading xoxo
Hi doll!! I love collecting series cause when you do start to read them you don't have to wait for books to come out ( that is my worst thing) I loved His Dark Materials series even though it's more middle grade it still travels into the real of some pretty adult stuff. Pullman has such a way with words so I hope you finish up that one. As for the Moning fans. I couldn't get I to it but am gonna try again soon. Did you read any of the Seven Realms. I really want to give that a go but want some input first. :-)

Ahhh I'm awful because I've read the first two Chaos Walking books and STILL haven't gotten around to the last one. FAIL.
ReplyDeleteHehehe..... funny thing, I have all of those sets of books sat on my shelves waiting for me too and I mean ALL of them!
