Today's Topic:

Your Favorite Books of 2014, so far

 Melina Marchetta

This is book 3 in The Lumatere Chronicles, one of my all time favorite series/trilogies I have ever read. This book left me with THE BIGGEST Book Hangover EVER!!! I highly recommend this book, well the series, to everyone!!!
#Fantasy, High/Epic Fantasy, Romance, BADASS

Laini Taylor

Amazing story with the most beautiful writing. Laini Taylor made this book sound so poetic, flowing so smoothly like lyrics in a song.
Hands down ahh-mazing book.
#YA, Urban Fantasy, Romance

by Morgan Rhodes

This has everything I love in a fantasy novel, Magic, Kingdoms, Politics and Romance. This is the beginning of a High Fantasy Series that I am excited to venture into!! Definitely something every one would enjoy. Y'all need to go out there and get this book!! HIGHLY ENTERTAINING!! Loads of Awesomeness!!
#High/Epic Fantasy, YA, Romance

Alice Hoffman

Even though there was no real magic in this novel, it did not stop it from being an exceptionally enchanting book. This book contains the most intriguing characters who are invigorating and a bit odd. A spectacular read. Hoffman is a genius!
#Adult, Fantasy, Magical Realism, Historical Fiction

Marissa Meyer

This was a book I was hesitant to read for the longest time. I just recently read and and was blown away. The story was so inventive and creative. I was eager to finish so I could get to the other books in the series. Completely in awe of the story line. Meyer did a phenomenal job at a fairy tale retelling. If you haven't read this yet....Please go out and get it. Read it!
#Fantasy, Sci-Fi, YA, Romance...FUN FUN FUN

I'd love to know what books you guys are loving so far this year??
My year is starting off great! Mostly all the books I've read this year are getting 4/5 star reviews!
Let's just hope this rest of the year is a good one !!!

BIG HUGS and Lots of Love

  1. Such good books listed! I'm trying Cinder as soon as I can get it out of the library and I'm so excited, and I'm also tempted to try Daughter of Smoke and Bone soon, but I'm not too sure yet. Fallen Kingdoms has also been getting more notice lately, so I'm considering that one too. Great choices and thank you for taking part! :D

    1. I had fun participating in Five Friday Favorites Amanda. Usually I'll do Feature & Follow on Friday but now If I don't do both, I'll switch them back n forth, a different one every Friday.
Thanks for dropping by and checkin my list out. You, most definitely, gotta get your hands on all of em! Read em and I know you'll love em :)

  2. Ooh, I'm so glad to see Cinder was a hit! I've been hesitant to a copy just in case it didn't live up to the hype :) Great list!

    1. I was the same way. I was on the waiting list at the library for so long and then I saw that they had the audio book in. Once I started listening to it I immediately went out and bought the book. It was worth it. Once I finished Cinder, I went out and bought Scarlet and Cress!!! Lol :)

  3. Yes Yes to Smoke and Bone and Cinder!
Missie @ A Flurry of Ponderings

    1. Thanks to you guys :) I don't know if you remember but ie did that post where I let fellow bloggers choose between 3 books that I wanted to read next. Cinder beat the other two hands down. So glad it did. It was such a exciting story.
Thanks for stopping by Missie xoxox

  4. I love everything Melina Marchetta writes. I really enjoy your blog and that's why I have nominated you for the Liebster Award. You can learn more about it on my blog here.

  5. Great choices! :) Daughter Of Smoke & Bone is an awesome book, I'll be reading the sequel soon and I have heard great things about the recently released third book in the series! Excited!

  6. I love Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Cinder! I head Falling Kingdoms is good, so I'll definitely read that.

By the way, I nominated you for the Liebster Award. Congrats!

  7. Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Fallen Kingdom are both on my wishlist! Jealous!

  8. I'm glad you liked CINDER! I think SCARLET was even better, and I hear CRESS is even better than that. ;) So far my favorite books this year are THE WINNER'S CURSE, DOROTHY MUST DIE, and THE QUEEN OF THE TEARLING, I think. Good stuff. :)

    Wendy @ The Midnight Garden

    1. I love The Winner's Curse too! I'm looking forward to reading both Dorothy Must Die and The Queen of the Tearling. I read the first 4 chapters of Dorothy Must Die and was sold, went out and bought it. Soon as I'm done with the Daughter of Smoke & Bone Trilogy i'm going to read it :) Thanks for sharing your favorites so far :)
