Five Friday Favorites is a weekly event hosted by Book Badger, where once a week, a five favorites subject will be posted by me and everyone is welcome to join in. You can find out more about Five Friday Favorites and the future subjects here.

Today's Topic:

Your Favorite Books of 2014, so far

 Melina Marchetta

This is book 3 in The Lumatere Chronicles, one of my all time favorite series/trilogies I have ever read. This book left me with THE BIGGEST Book Hangover EVER!!! I highly recommend this book, well the series, to everyone!!!
#Fantasy, High/Epic Fantasy, Romance, BADASS

Laini Taylor

Amazing story with the most beautiful writing. Laini Taylor made this book sound so poetic, flowing so smoothly like lyrics in a song.
Hands down ahh-mazing book.
#YA, Urban Fantasy, Romance

by Morgan Rhodes

This has everything I love in a fantasy novel, Magic, Kingdoms, Politics and Romance. This is the beginning of a High Fantasy Series that I am excited to venture into!! Definitely something every one would enjoy. Y'all need to go out there and get this book!! HIGHLY ENTERTAINING!! Loads of Awesomeness!!
#High/Epic Fantasy, YA, Romance

Alice Hoffman

Even though there was no real magic in this novel, it did not stop it from being an exceptionally enchanting book. This book contains the most intriguing characters who are invigorating and a bit odd. A spectacular read. Hoffman is a genius!
#Adult, Fantasy, Magical Realism, Historical Fiction

Marissa Meyer

This was a book I was hesitant to read for the longest time. I just recently read and and was blown away. The story was so inventive and creative. I was eager to finish so I could get to the other books in the series. Completely in awe of the story line. Meyer did a phenomenal job at a fairy tale retelling. If you haven't read this yet....Please go out and get it. Read it!
#Fantasy, Sci-Fi, YA, Romance...FUN FUN FUN

I'd love to know what books you guys are loving so far this year??
My year is starting off great! Mostly all the books I've read this year are getting 4/5 star reviews!
Let's just hope this rest of the year is a good one !!!

  1. Such good books listed! I'm trying Cinder as soon as I can get it out of the library and I'm so excited, and I'm also tempted to try Daughter of Smoke and Bone soon, but I'm not too sure yet. Fallen Kingdoms has also been getting more notice lately, so I'm considering that one too. Great choices and thank you for taking part! :D

    1. I was the same way. I was on the waiting list at the library for so long and then I saw that they had the audio book in. Once I started listening to it I immediately went out and bought the book. It was worth it. Once I finished Cinder, I went out and bought Scarlet and Cress!!! Lol :)

    1. Thanks to you guys :) I don't know if you remember but ie did that post where I let fellow bloggers choose between 3 books that I wanted to read next. Cinder beat the other two hands down. So glad it did. It was such a exciting story.

  8. I'm glad you liked CINDER! I think SCARLET was even better, and I hear CRESS is even better than that. ;) So far my favorite books this year are THE WINNER'S CURSE, DOROTHY MUST DIE, and THE QUEEN OF THE TEARLING, I think. Good stuff. :)
