Laini Taylor does not disappoint!
Book 3: DREAMS OF GODS & MONSTERS
I can't believe we've reached the final installment in the Daughter of Smoke & Bone Trilogy, Dreams of Gods & Monsters. Boooooo!!!!! I don't want it to be the final one :( But I know that all series must come to an end and I really think Taylor did this series justice. She ended it perfectly, flawlessly, I thought!! I absolutely enjoyed every single moment in this book, every single word!!
AHHHH-MAZING!!!
In this final book, Taylor takes this time to introduce some new and key characters. At first I was confused, wondering why would she try and fit this all in here now, but I think she's got something up her sleeve. Ending some stories and creating a beginning for others. Yep! I said it. I do believe that it is the end for Karou and Akiva's story but definitely a start for some of the other characters ;) Well see......
First Reaction after reading it:
Then after I settled down and the realization of it really being the END:
*Favorite Thing about book 3:
~ EVERYTHING!!!
Luckily I didn't have to wait long at all for Book 2, Days of Blood & Starlight, because of my delayed but genius mind. Yea, it took me 2 and a half years to read this series, but it's genius b/c I didn't have to wait for any of the books. As soon as I was finished reading DoB&S...BOOM!....Dreams of Gods & Monsters was out! Talk about perfect timing :)
I found book 2 to have a much intense and darker feel to it compared to the first book. The battle between angel and beast was astronomical, leaving many dead on both sides. Karou and Akiva spent most of this book apart. While Karou was pushing Akiva away and helping the enemy build a fierce army, Akiva was doing anything he could to make up for the grief he caused the one he loves the most.
OMG were there some major twist and turns in this book. And the end had me aching, yearning for more. Needing to know the fate of these chararcters I love so much!!
*Favorite Thing about book 2:
~ Lucky Ziri and Zuzanna & her charming violinist boyfriend, Mik.
Karou is so lucky to have such an AMAZING team of friends backin her up. I know if anything happened to me, I'd want friends like this around to have my back!

Book 1: DAUGHTER OF SMOKE & BONE
I got to met these compassionate and charismatic characters. And GODSTARS does Taylor know how to charm the socks off of readers with her world building. I felt like I just got down traveling the world on a magic carpet ride after reading this book.
In DoS&B we got to see learn a lot about Karou and Akiva's past. We see them start off as enemies then quickly learn that they're not enemies at all, but lovers once. No wonder there was a instant connection between the two. The end of this book is mind blowing too. I could not wait to start the 2nd book, to find out what the hell is going to happen.

*Favorite Thing about book 1:
~ OMG! Taylor created one of the fiercest, spunkiest characters I have every had the opportunity to read about. The lovely, kick ass character is none other than Karou's best friend, Zuzanna. You want to talk about what friendship really means....loyalty, trust, humor, and a great listener. Yea, Zuzanna is all these things! She is FABULOUS!
All I can say is if you haven't read this series yet, you are definitely missing out on something PHENOMENAL! Laini Taylor is a master story-teller. The worlds she builds and the characters she creates are highly imaginative and unfailingly compassionate. Her perfectly placed prose and lyrically poetic language will have you melting! She is freakin' REMARKABLE and this story that she has created is brilliantly constructed, powerful, playful and difficult to resist!!!
Entire Series Get A 5 STAR Rating!!!
Laini Taylor, Thank You for one gnarly adventure!
I ♥ YOU!
Khristine Hvam actually won her first audie award in the summer of 2012 from narrating "Daughter of Smoke & Bone " This year she nominated for three more Audie nominations.

**SIDE NOTE***~~~ Not only did I read this series from the physical books themselves but I read the ebooks and listened to the audiobook. I just want to say, if any of you want to listen to a great audio then this is the series to that with. And no I'm not just saying this b/c I'm a fanatic and fangirling over this series. The woman who narrates the audio books for this series is OUT-FREAKING-STANDING!!!!!!

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a massive book hangover right now and the only cure for that is some cake :)

Don't forget to check out Laini Taylor's novella, Night of Cake & Puppets:
Night of Cake & Puppets
In Night of Cake & Puppets, Taylor brings to life a night only hinted at in the Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy—the magical first date of fan-favorites Zuzana and Mik. Told in alternating perspectives, it’s the perfect love story for fans of the series and new readers alike. Petite though she may be, Zuzana is not known for timidity. Her best friend, Karou, calls her “rabid fairy,” her “voodoo eyes” are said to freeze blood, and even her older brother fears her wrath. But when it comes to the simple matter of talking to Mik, or “Violin Boy,” her courage deserts her. Now, enough is enough. Zuzana is determined to meet him, and she has a fistful of magic and a plan. It’s a wonderfully elaborate treasure hunt of a plan that will take Mik all over Prague on a cold winter’s night before finally leading him to the treasure: herself! Violin Boy’s not going to know what hit him.
OMG! How I loved all 80ish pages of this novella. I hardly ever read from my Kindle but when I found out that it was the only way for me to read Night of Cake & Puppets at that exact moment....Well.....
Hope you guys enjoyed my MASSIVE review!! Is it too much???
LOL! It's only because of my LOVE for the wonderful story, awesome characters and brilliant author.
I hope I did them, fellow bloggers, and DoS&B fandom justice!!!

Talk about SWOON-A-LIOUS!!! This novella was just pure joy, love and giddiness. I mean it was basically a short story focused on the absolutely adorable, rabid fairy, Zuzanna.
You get to explore what happens what happens on Zuzanna and Mik's first date and see how their love for each other blossomed.
It's MAGICAL and I think that every one should read it!
Zuzanna ♥ Mik
forever & ever
