Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly bookish meme,
hosted by Breaking the Spine,
that showcase upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
Today's Book:
Stitching Snow
Author: R.C. Lewis
Date of Release: October 14th, 2014
Princess Snow is missing.
Her home planet is filled with violence and corruption at the hands of King Matthias and his wife as they attempt to punish her captors. The king will stop at nothing to get his beloved daughter back—but that’s assuming she wants to return at all.
Essie has grown used to being cold. Temperatures on the planet Thanda are always sub-zero, and she fills her days with coding and repairs for the seven loyal drones that run the local mines.
When a mysterious young man named Dane crash-lands near her home, Essie agrees to help the pilot repair his ship. But soon she realizes that Dane’s arrival was far from accidental, and she’s pulled into the heart of a war she’s risked everything to avoid. With the galaxy’s future—and her own—in jeopardy, Essie must choose who to trust in a fiery fight for survival.

Ummmmm....YES! Can I have it now please!!!
I have a good feeling about this book. It has the same elements that The Lunar Chronicles has and I love that series.

♥ BIG HUGS and Lots of Love ♥
The book seems so interesting! I hope you get the book soon :) I'm actually not waiting for any book since they were already released a few weeks ago. I want to read "Open Road Summer" by Emery Lord and "What I Thought Was True" by Huntley Fitzpatrick. I've seen them in so many blogs and I might really want to read it now! :D
ReplyDeleteJillian @ Jillian's Books
There is always some book out there that I can't wait to get my hands on. If it's not a stand alone novel then it's a sequel in a book series that I've been reading.
DeleteI haven't heard of the two books you mentioned, so I'll be looking them up to see what they're all about! Thanks for stopping by Jillian xoxox ♥
Your post made me smile..it does sound like an interesting book. Hope we both get a copy soon :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! YAY! Glad I can put a smile on your face :) Here's to inter-galactic fairty tale retellings and mer-people or humans that live under the sea! LOL
DeleteHAPPY HUMP DAY SHANE MORGAN! xoxo
I've seen this one around and like you I hope it's as good as it sounds (and looks - gawd I love that cover!) Snow White + sci-fi = awesome!! I hope you can get your hands on it soon :) Great pick ^^
ReplyDeletePS- YES Crown of Midnight is even better than ToG!! I've read all the novellas too and they made me love Celaena even more. The novellas give A LOT of her backstory and explain her character in ToG. Hope you have better luck with the rest of the series xx
Thank You Micheline!! I'm sure I will like Crown of Midnight much more. And I'm gonna go out and get me The Assassins Blade and read it before Crown of Midnight :)
DeleteThank you for stopping by and letting me know about the novellas :) xoxox
This book sounds amazing! I love fairy tale retellings, i'm so glad they're "in" right now :)

ReplyDeleteAs soon as I read this line - "Essie has grown used to being cold" I thought "the cold never bothered me anyway", and the weird thing is, I haven't even seen Frozen yet ;-)
And thanks for the Ryan gif, I like to think that he is talking to me lol

Wow! I haven't heard of this one before, but I'm absolutely hooked! :D It does sound like the Lunar Chronicles in the way the author incorporates the fairy-tale elements, so I can't wait to see how that plays out! ;) Thanks for sharing Michelle! <3
