Review: Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Cinder
by Marissa Meyer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was just Fun!!
   Cinderella would be Proud!!!

Inventive and Invigorating.
Surprisingly original and refreshing for a fairy tale retelling!
                                  ♥

I really did love this story.

Even if the world building fell short, just a tiny bit, it certainly didn't take any thing away from the awesomeness of the story :) I loved all the characters, the bad ones, the sick ones, the androids and even the stepsisters.

I especially loved Cinder's character. Even with grease stained clothes and cyborg parts. She is just a teenage girl, who's witty and smart, and a highly skillful mechanic. She faces strenuous obstacles like a fatal plague, a persistent Prince and an unpleasant Stepmother. All she wants to do is run away from it all but she can't.....
Not after what she has just found out!

Her world is on the brink of an Intergalactic war with the Lunars. Cinder is caught in the middle of it all and we won't know what will happen because of the bloody cliffhanger!

That's okay! hahaha I have the next book, which I've already started reading
 (and love so far)
That's one good reason why I'm glad it took me so long to read this series. Now I don't have to wait for the next...
OH WAIT!!!!!
There's one more book. "Winter" and it doesn't come out til next year.

I guess I'll just try and read the rest of Scarlet and Cress really
Reeeaaalllyyy sllloooowwwwwwlllyyy....

But seriously, If you haven't read this book yet, I highly recommend that you do! A simply spectacular story!! And if you get the chance, listen to it on audio. I listened to it while driving in my car. Half the time I found myself parked in my driveway after running errands just listening away.

It's extremely entertaining!!!

Also check out Glitches

A novella by Marissa Meyer giving a glimpse into Cinder's life where she is adjusting to being a Cyborg and a new life with her evil Stepmother & Stepsisters.

    1. I was hesitant about this series for awhile. I always saw it circling around goodreads but it wasn't until I started blogging a couple months ago when I really started to take an interest. So I did a poll where I let fellow readers choose a book out of 3, that I should read. It was between Cinder, Throne of Glass and Days of Blood & Starlight. Cinder won hands down!
SO GLAD I finally read it! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! xoxo

    1. Oh yea, I'm loving Scarlet right now. It's cool how Meyer's changed it up, for being a sequel she doesn't really stick to just Cinder's storyline.
Thanks for stopping by Kritika! Xoxox

  6. Yeah! Michelle! So glad you liked this as much as you did! It's such a great series, isn't it? I think Cinder was my least favorite of the series so far (and I'm saying that loosely because it was still full of awesomeness!), but Scarlet was definitely my favorite by a longshot, so I'm really interested in seeing what you think of it!

As always, brilliant review and thanks for sharing! <3 I'm loving the GIFs by the way! :D

But I thought she was great =D There is one more novella to fill the waiting gap called The Little Android. It was awesome too. Marissa Meyer is a genius.
