Friday's Feature & Follow: Favorite Outside Reading Spot

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison ofAlison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

TODAY'S QUESTION/TOPIC:

Spring is in the air! Show off your favorite outdoors reading spot. If you don’t go outside…well where else do you read that isn’t inside your house? We want pics!

Well Spring is not quite in there air here on the coast of North Carolina. This morning it is at a whopping 32 degrees. I will, however, endure the cold and the suffering to sit outside and read my books. It is the only place I can get a few minutes away from my kids and also I enjoy a smoke while reading, to do that I must be outside. (I don't smoke in or around my house or kids)

( ↑ Pictures Above ↑ )
This is where I sit everyday I go outside and read. On this lovely, child size, wooden chair. A friend gave this to me for my girls to have and I meant to bring it inside. Well that never did happen and for 2 years now it has become my reading chair. This chair and I have suffered through rain, snow, and mosquito infested, sweltering hot summers together. I love this chair!!

This is last Spring when I was sitting in my chair. This is a picture of a caterpillar enjoying a nice read with me. During the Spring they're EVERYWHERE!! →

This picture below is actually of my daughter collecting them in her container to keep as pets ↓

I usually don't get the time to read anywhere else outdoors other than in my own front yard or porch, so when I'm not out there, I'm inside probably reading on my comfy, cozy bed. We just got a new mattress 8 months ago, so yea! It's a pretty darn comfortable reading spot :)

Yes, so those are the places I like to read. Once it warms up and plants start to turn green and flowers blossom, come back and check in, I'll have some nicer photos of my front yard for ya!

What about y'all? Where's your favorite outdoor/indoor reading spots?

BIG hugs and Lots of LOVE

  3. Your bedroom looks so cozy, I love the conferter (or bed spread, whatever you call it where you're from). I don't like reading out in the cold either. Today its -11°c outside brrrr. I think the cold front is almost over though and really it's about damn time! Lol. Your daughter's a little sweetie pie, is it Lily? Not sure why but I can't see your outdoors pics :-(

  5. I love the owls in your bedroom! Ahh! Too cute. And your daughter is adorable!

It's really cold here in TN, too. Seeing all these warm pics with this FF are making me glare outside at the cold weather. I love the caterpillars, though! I have a horde of squirrels that run around the house and yard. I may encourage this by putting out feeders for them. Hah.

    Enjoy your weekend, doll! xx

    1. YES! I love squirrels! There all over my yard too! Whenever I go to Five Guys (a burger joint) I'll fill my take out bag with loads of the shelled peanuts they have sitting out for customers. When I get home I'll throw them out in the yard and watch the squirrels gather and eat. It's so darn cute!! LOL

    1. Oh boy did she want too! She wanted to bring them in the house and everything!!! LOL She loves caterpillars because she is obsessed with The Very Hungry Caterpillar book. She watches the video and has TVHC stuffed animals, I mean just obsessed! Whenever we color outside with sidewalk chalk she always asks me to draw TVHC and all the food it ate. So I basically draw the whole story with chalk!!
Thanks for stopping by Cassi! and for following ;) Have an awesome weekend ♥
