Top Ten Tuesdays is a meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish that features a new topic each week where we have to put down our top ten of it.
Today's Topic/Question:
March 25: Top Ten Things On My Bookish Bucket List (could be blogging related, book related etc. -- meeting authors, reading x many books per year, finishing a daunting book, etc.)
First off, Y'all try saying Bookish Bucket List 5 times fast!!! LOL!!!!
I couldn't do it :) HAHAHAhahahahaaaaa
1.) Collect and own everything bookish that Neil Gaiman has ever written. Novels, short stories, anthologies, graphic novels, ect... Also meet him and have him sign my copies of Neverwhere and The Graveyard Book.
2.) Meet Clive Barker and have him sign all the books in his Abarat series and have a personal, one of a kind painting done by him (and signed of course)
3.) Read the entire Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Including The Wind Through the Keyhole. I have all 8 books which I'm so in love with. I just haven't found the time to read them yet!! I'm a bit intimidated by the size of the series. I need to make sure I make enough time to devote just to reading these books.
4.) Instead of my husbands idea of a gym being built beside our house, I'd put a library there with custom made bookshelves that go all the way to the ceiling.
5.) Go on a trip around the world, visiting all the different libraries, collecting bookmarks along the way. Some of the places I'd want to visit: France, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Canada, Hawaii, California, and New York City!!!!
6.) Get a bookish Tattoo!!! I've been wanting one for a while now. Trying to design one is what's taking so long. I want it to be perfect and meaningful!
7.) Attend a bookish convention. There's actually one in May that I would LOVE to go to in New Orleans!!! ;) So many authors are going to be there for Teen Day: Sarah Maas, Morgan Rhodes, Veronica Rossi, Melissa Marr, Leigh Bardugo, OMG!! SO MUCH MORE!!!
Check out the list here.
8.) Get my Lumatere Chronicle books signed by their author, Melinda Marchetta! YES!!
9.) Read my daughters all my favorite books, eventually handing my books down to them. Also continue exposing my girls to the bookish world, bringing them to libraries and bookstores, letting them explore and gather all the book knowledge surrounding them. (Hoping with all my heart & soul that they continue to love reading as much as they do now, if not more)
10.) I plan on blogging for a long time and reading for the rest of my life! My goal is to never let it feel like a job, never feel rushed or get anxiety over posting a review or reaching a certain amount of books I want to finish in a year.
It's all about having fun, enjoying life and relaxing. Escaping to another world just for a moment. Reading and Blogging do that for me and for that I am forever grateful!
I had so much fun doing today's Top Ten Tuesday list! I can't wait to get out there and see what other bloggers bookish bucket list looks like. Hope y'all enjoyed mine :) Chat with y'all soon....

Rimsha@Ramblings of a Bookworm
Thank you for stopping by Rimsha! Yea, traveling around the world collecting books for different countries=awesome!! :)
DeleteA bookish tattoo is a great idea! The possibilities are endless. If you ever do come to Canada Michelle, absolutely come to Nova Scotia! Screw Ontario, everyone always goes there lol the east coast is where it's at!
ReplyDeleteGreat goals, darlin', best of luck crossing them of your bucket list ♥♥
Thank you Monique! If I ever make it to Canada I'll be sure to go to Nova Scotia for sure!!!! I bet I'd have a blast up there!!!
DeleteI'm planning on getting a bookish tattoo as soon as I pick out a design. Add to my half sleeve I got kind of going on right now lol!! Thanks for stopping by hun, as alway xoxoxox'
Kisses xoxoxx ♥
Great list! My sister read The Dark Tower series and really liked them. She and my brother both had a Stephen King phase and I never did, I really should read some of his stuff. Those tattoos are amazing too! I'm totally with you on that last one. Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting!
ReplyDeleteCassi
yea, i've only read 2 of King's books, The Shining and The Pet Cemetery. A really good friend of mine and a couple of book friends from Goodreads recommended The Dark Towers to me after I asked about, What's a long series that has both fantasy and horror. So I started collecting the books.
DeleteThanks for stopping by Cassi!! ♥
Great list! Neil Gaiman is on my list too! I also want a floor to ceiling library.
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten
Great list! I haven't read anything by Neil Gaimann, actually... But traveling is sth that I also want to do more of!
ReplyDeleteOh yea, Nadia, you've got to try out some Gaiman. If you like fairy tales then you'd probably like Stardust by him. It's kind of fairy tale-ish. The Graveyard Book is great for new Gaiman readers.
DeleteThanks for stopping by Nadia ♥
This is a great list Michelle, I wish I'd taken part this week now, damn me. I like that you want to get most of your books signed, it's a great ambition, so I hope you get to that pretty soon! :D Great post Michelle!
ReplyDeleteThat's a dream I hope I can one day fulfill! Another dream that not bookish is to see the Rolling Stones in concert but I don't know if they'll be alive much longer by the time I can see them. LOL They're getting old!!!
DeleteYour list just made me smile a lot! I might have known Gaiman would be on here, Stardust is fast approaching top of my planned reads! I cannot wait to finally get into his work! I too would MUCH prefer a library over a gym, but luckily, so would my partner! We both read very different books, but hey. It's a start right? Oh my goodness bookmark collecting, what a great idea! And a book tattoo too, I haven' seen that on anyone else's list! I wish I could come to America, we don't really have any big book conventions in the UK :( I love your attitude towards blogging and reading, thank you for posting this! Long may your awesome blog continue and thanks for stopping by on my Top Ten Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteAwwww Thank You Katrina! I always love when you stop by and comment! Your very encouraging ♥ I hope one day you'll be able to come to the US and attend some of the book conventions here. A big one everyone talks about, that I actually just heard of today, is the BEA ~ The Book Expo America event held in New York. I'd love to go to that one!!!
DeleteThanks for stopping by Katrina! BIg hugs sent your ways love ♥ xoxo
Yes I've seen the BEA everywhere recently too! I would love to go one day, it sounds like so much fun! I'm glad you like my comments :) Thanks for the hugs! <3
DeleteFirst off, thanks for stopping by my blog earlier! I think it's wonderful that you're passing along your collection to your children. Getting a tattoo sounds super rad -- though I also wouldn't know what I'd get; an memorable quote could always be an option.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Joey via. thoughts and afterthoughts.
My TTT This Week.
I was thinking a picture with a quote. I just got to zero in on which quote b/c I love so many! Ha!
DeleteThanks for stopping by Joey ;)
Great list! I've only partially read one Stephen King book, so good luck on that entire series! That is a daunting goal, indeed. However, I love me some Neil Gaiman. I need to own more of his books. :)
ReplyDeleteI've only read two of his books, The Shining and Pet Cemetery, so I know this will be a challenge, a challenge I'm ready to go up against!
DeleteThanks for stopping by :)
I love #9! My parents read to me and passed their books down to me and when I have kids I intend to do the same. It makes for wonderful memories!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any bookish memories from when I was growing up, so I intend for my daughters to have a ton of em!!!! Thanks for stopping by Tiffany. Hope all is well!! ♥
DeleteWow! What a great list Michelle! I agree with everything you've said here! It would be so much fun to attend a book-related conference (BEA, etc) or an author signing because I've never been to one, so I'm glad to see that's on your list as well!
ReplyDeleteAnd your #4 is hilarious! ;)
Thanks for sharing!
~ Zoe @ The Infinite To-Read Shelf
heehee! Thanks Zoe!!! My hubby wants a gym, I want a library. Why not both?? RIGHT!!! My books won't get in the way at all, they'll all be line up on the bookshelves that are built into the wall. OMG Genius!!! I'm throwing him this idea, see what he thinks. Wish me luck hahahaaaa!!!
DeleteI really want to read the Dark Tower series too. One day. :)
ReplyDeleteRight! It's a behemoth of a series!! One day, one day!!! lol
DeleteThanks for stopping by Pamela ♥
I had the chance to meet Neil Gaiman and didn't make it to the book signing. I think I had just got back from a trip and couldn't make it out there in time to see him. Such a bummer. I don't know how often he comes to the US but I feel like I missed out big time!
ReplyDeleteOMG!! That is a bummer. I would of freaked out if I missed out on him. He is one of my top 5 favorite authors!!! Probably top 3! uuuuggghhhh
DeleteThanks for stopping by Angela xoxoxo ♥♥♥
I ended up not doing TTT this week but I had to stop by a few today since I had a few minute! I love your list! Can I come on your trip to collect bookmarks around the world? That sounds like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job!
Kristalyn @ The Sarcastic Palmtree
OMG YES YOU CAN KRISTALYN!!! hahahaaa How amazing would that be, right!!! Library hopping around the world :) Scapbooking our bookmarks along the way. And since we'll be so busy, we'll have to video blog everyday instead of typing it out. Oh! It's nice to dream ♥♥♥
DeleteThanks for Stopping by Kristalyn! It gave me a brief "Walter Mitty" momentm :)
I LOVE NEIL GAIMAN. Okay, I said it. But I've only read a handful of his books, and I've yet to read the 2 books I recently bought - The Ocean at the End of the Lane & The Graveyard Book. I do plan on blogging for a long time as well, and meet the authors that I like! This is an awesome Top 10 :)
ReplyDeleteAh great bucketlist! I especially like number four, if it actually happened, I would applaud you! I followed you on bloglovin mostly because I already love your blog but also because I felt awkward about the fact that you have 69 followers:L
ReplyDelete- Annie
Bwwwaaahahaha! Abby lol!!! Thanks for changes those dirty little digits for me ;) You so silly! I can't help but giggle every time I see that number. It is impossible not too!!! Thank you for bringing it to my attention! =P
DeleteI can't do a back flip but if I can get my husband to put bookshelves in the gym, even if it's a tiny section of the building, I will do a back flip! I GUARANTEE!!!!
Thank you for stopping by and making me laugh! Oh yea and for following my blog! YOU ROCK!!!! Chat with ya soon Annie xoxox
Michelle ;)
What an amazing list!! A home library sounds perfect. Oh and that tattoo idea is great. I'm also thinking of getting inked soon, just waiting for the perfect image. So hard. Thanks for stopping by, and sorry for the delay.
ReplyDeleteHi Hi!! It's never too late girlie! I'm always checkin just in case there is any late comers!!
DeleteI just found out that my father in law is building me a new bookcase. SO I'm EXTRA thrilled about that. If you could see my bookcase now, WOW, it's about to completely fall apart.
I can't wait to get Inked but coming up with an image is super hard. I mean it has to be perfect!!!!!
Thanks for stopping by hun!!!
Michelle xoxo
Michelle I swear you are my bookish twin! I Love Neil Gaiman too, he is my most favourite author and I am working on collecting all his works, even if he just edited a collection, I want it.
ReplyDeleteI collect bookmarks from wherever I go - they are the only souvenir I need.
I would love a bookish tattoo, a lot of thought would have to go into the design because it would represent something that means so much to you.
