Top Ten Things on my Bookish Bucket List

Top Ten Tuesdays is a meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish that features a new topic each week where we have to put down our top ten of it.

Today's Topic/Question:

March 25: Top Ten Things On My Bookish Bucket List (could be blogging related, book related etc. -- meeting authors, reading x many books per year, finishing a daunting book, etc.)

First off, Y'all try saying Bookish Bucket List 5 times fast!!! LOL!!!!
I couldn't do it :) HAHAHAhahahahaaaaa

1.) Collect and own everything bookish that Neil Gaiman has ever written. Novels, short stories, anthologies, graphic novels, ect... Also meet him and have him sign my copies of Neverwhere and The Graveyard Book.

2.) Meet Clive Barker and have him sign all the books in his Abarat series and have a personal, one of a kind painting done by him (and signed of course)

3.) Read the entire Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Including The Wind Through the Keyhole. I have all 8 books which I'm so in love with. I just haven't found the time to read them yet!! I'm a bit intimidated by the size of the series. I need to make sure I make enough time to devote just to reading these books.

4.) Instead of my husbands idea of a gym being built beside our house, I'd put a library there with custom made bookshelves that go all the way to the ceiling.

5.) Go on a trip around the world, visiting all the different libraries, collecting bookmarks along the way. Some of the places I'd want to visit: France, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Canada, Hawaii, California, and New York City!!!!

6.) Get a bookish Tattoo!!! I've been wanting one for a while now. Trying to design one is what's taking so long. I want it to be perfect and meaningful!

7.) Attend a bookish convention. There's actually one in May that I would LOVE to go to in New Orleans!!! ;) So many authors are going to be there for Teen Day: Sarah Maas, Morgan Rhodes, Veronica Rossi, Melissa Marr, Leigh Bardugo, OMG!! SO MUCH MORE!!!
Check out the list here.

8.) Get my Lumatere Chronicle books signed by their author, Melinda Marchetta! YES!!

9.) Read my daughters all my favorite books, eventually handing my books down to them. Also continue exposing my girls to the bookish world, bringing them to libraries and bookstores, letting them explore and gather all the book knowledge surrounding them. (Hoping with all my heart & soul that they continue to love reading as much as they do now, if not more)

10.) I plan on blogging for a long time and reading for the rest of my life! My goal is to never let it feel like a job, never feel rushed or get anxiety over posting a review or reaching a certain amount of books I want to finish in a year.

It's all about having fun, enjoying life and relaxing. Escaping to another world just for a moment. Reading and Blogging do that for me and for that I am forever grateful!

I had so much fun doing today's Top Ten Tuesday list! I can't wait to get out there and see what other bloggers bookish bucket list looks like. Hope y'all enjoyed mine :) Chat with y'all soon....

    1. yea, i've only read 2 of King's books, The Shining and The Pet Cemetery. A really good friend of mine and a couple of book friends from Goodreads recommended The Dark Towers to me after I asked about, What's a long series that has both fantasy and horror. So I started collecting the books.
Thanks for stopping by Cassi!! ♥

    1. Oh yea, Nadia, you've got to try out some Gaiman. If you like fairy tales then you'd probably like Stardust by him. It's kind of fairy tale-ish. The Graveyard Book is great for new Gaiman readers.
Thanks for stopping by Nadia ♥

    1. That's a dream I hope I can one day fulfill! Another dream that not bookish is to see the Rolling Stones in concert but I don't know if they'll be alive much longer by the time I can see them. LOL They're getting old!!!

  9. Your list just made me smile a lot! I might have known Gaiman would be on here, Stardust is fast approaching top of my planned reads! I cannot wait to finally get into his work! I too would MUCH prefer a library over a gym, but luckily, so would my partner! We both read very different books, but hey. It's a start right? Oh my goodness bookmark collecting, what a great idea! And a book tattoo too, I haven' seen that on anyone else's list! I wish I could come to America, we don't really have any big book conventions in the UK :( I love your attitude towards blogging and reading, thank you for posting this! Long may your awesome blog continue and thanks for stopping by on my Top Ten Tuesday!

  10. First off, thanks for stopping by my blog earlier! I think it's wonderful that you're passing along your collection to your children. Getting a tattoo sounds super rad -- though I also wouldn't know what I'd get; an memorable quote could always be an option.

    Cheers,

  13. Wow! What a great list Michelle! I agree with everything you've said here! It would be so much fun to attend a book-related conference (BEA, etc) or an author signing because I've never been to one, so I'm glad to see that's on your list as well!

And your #4 is hilarious! ;)

I do plan on blogging for a long time as well, and meet the authors that I like! This is an awesome Top 10 :)

  20. Michelle I swear you are my bookish twin! I Love Neil Gaiman too, he is my most favourite author and I am working on collecting all his works, even if he just edited a collection, I want it.
I collect bookmarks from wherever I go - they are the only souvenir I need.
I would love a bookish tattoo, a lot of thought would have to go into the design because it would represent something that means so much to you.
