MISTAKE GONE.....RIGHT??? Happy Valentine's Day

My husband gave me my Valentine's Day gift last night b/c he had to wake up super early to go to work. He works for UPS, as a truck driver/delivery man, delivering hundreds upon hundreds of packages a day. Well it being V-Day, you can only imagine why he had to be there a the crack dawn (actually earlier than that)!!

Well to my surprise he got me a card and a book. Mind blown! I expected some chocolates and then dinner sometime this weekend. Hold on! Wait......let me explain something about my hubs. He is a gentle, kind-hearted, mellow man. But he lacks in the romance department. Which I am A O.K. with because I'm not one for romance unless I'm reading about it. So when he got me a beautiful owl card and a brand new book from B & N, I WAS SHOCKED! THRILLED! I was proud of my man!!

While he is explaining to me how hard it was to find me a book and how he was at the book store for an hour just reading through all the back's of these books, I realized that the book he got me is a sequel to a series that I haven't read yet. LOL!!! The look on his face when I told him that; he looked DESTROYED! DEFEATED!!

He starts saying "What? But no where on that book does it say that! Where does it say that?!!!" So I grab his face and plant a kiss on his lips. "Shut up ya big galoot! You did good! Real good!"

Is that like a bad job done really well? Lol!! 

I felt bad giving him my card after that. Before reading, I made him understand that "I got this card before I knew what you got me!"

It Reads:

LOL!!! RIGHT!?!?! OMG! I felt bad after all that he did. Hahahaa! I spoke (well the card did) TOO SOON!! Next time I won't be expecting anything less from him anymore!!

P.S. Best thing about this whole "mistake gone right"~ He felt bad and immediately went on Amazon to get me Book 1 of the series lol!! Woooo Hooooo~~~~ HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO ME!!

    Oh my! Your husband is such a sweetie! Jealous lol. My hubby and I never exchange gifts for VD and its our anniversary too. We normally just spend the day together but he's at work like your man :'(

      we usually don't do anything, only for our daughters, but that's it. Sometimes some chocolates but yea lol!!!

    His reaction sounds like it was so cute, lol! I got Unhinged for Valentine's Day, too. I picked it out last weekend though. ;) My husband is gone all day at work today, too. He leaves at 6:30am and gets home at 8pm. He sent me a dozen red roses yesterday and chocolate covered strawberries today. :) Have a Happy Valentine's Day, Michelle! :D

      Holy "Valentine's Day goodness" batman!!!!! Your hubby did a Fantastic job. I swear mine is the absolute WORST when it comes to gift giving or surprising. He says it's hard and "I don't know what you want, I might mess something up" I try to tell him that there is NO messing up at gift giving lol!!! I'm so happy you had a great V-Day! Isn't funny how much our day had in common :) (minus flowers & chocolates, HA!)

    Awww! That's so super sweet! And, I just have to say it, BUT I AM SO JEALOUS OF THAT BOOK! I just finished reading the first (it is super awesome, btw) and I'm dyyying for the second. So you scored well. ;) And I do think books could be a little more helpful in telling you if they're a sequel and what number they are. xD

      HAHAHAAA!!!! Right I think the book numbers should be there too. Your jealous that I have the second book and I'm jealous of you for having read book 1. So it all works out LOL! He went online to buy me Splintered and when he saw that Amazon has a deal where, if you buy $35 or more , you'll get free shipping. SO he let me get 3 more books to total up to $41. Free shipping. LOL! So really I got a total of 5 books for VDay :)
