Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly bookish meme,
hosted by Breaking the Spine,
that showcase upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
Today I'll be showcasing two books. One that is a debut and one that is part of a series.
The Debut that I am anticipating is:
By: Lynne Matson
Expected Release Date: March 4th, 2014
On the mysterious island of Nil, the rules are set. You have exactly 365 days to escape—or you die.
Seventeen-year-old Charley doesn’t know the rules. She doesn’t even know where she is. The last thing she remembers is blacking out, and when she wakes up, she’s naked in an empty rock field.
Lost and alone, Charley finds no sign of other people until she meets Thad, the gorgeous leader of a clan of teenage refugees. Soon Charley learns that leaving the island is harder than she thought . . . and so is falling in love. With Thad’s time running out, Charley realizes that she has to find a way to beat the clock, and quickly.
This book sound excited and intense, reminding me of the movie THE BEACH with Leonardo DiCaprio. This book is coming out in no time, March actually. Just in time for Spring break or Summer. I can already imagine myself reading this on the beach :) Beats the image of me reading it in the crappy weather we're getting now! (snow in Eastern NC, CRAZINESS)
Book in a series that I'm anticipating is:
By: Laini Taylor
Book #3 in the Daughter of Smoke & Bone series
Expected Release Date: April 8th, 2014
I've just recently started this series over the weekend when borrowing book 1 from the library. Starting with Daughter of Smoke & Bone, finishing it only to be amazed and eager to move on to book 2, Days of Blood & Starlight.
If you haven't read this series yet I highly recommend it. I don't know what the outcome will be like but what I have read is pure pleasure!!!
Hopefully I've introduced you guys to new books to anticipate and add to your never ending TBR list. I can't wait to post this then get out there and see what books you guys are anticipating! I can never have enough books for my TBR list.
Happy Hump Day and
Happy Reading Y'all
