Arc Ebooks Recieved:

By: Jaleigh Johnson
Publication Date: March 25th, 2014

Piper has never seen the Mark of the Dragonfly until she finds the girl amid the wreckage of a caravan in the Meteor Fields.
The girl doesn't remember a thing about her life, but the intricate tattoo on her arm is proof that she's from the Dragonfly Territories and that she's protected by the king. Which means a reward for Piper if she can get the girl home.
The one sure way to the Territories is the 401, a great old beauty of a train. But a ticket costs more coin than Piper could make in a year. And stowing away is a difficult prospect--everyone knows that getting past the peculiar green-eyed boy who stands guard is nearly impossible.
Life for Piper just turned dangerous. A little bit magical. And very exciting, if she can manage to survive the journey.

White Space
By: Ilsa J. Bick
Publication Date: February 11th, 2014
(from the summery on NetGalley)
Emma Lindsay's got problems: a head full of metal, a crazy artist for a guardian, and these weird blinks-stretches of half-remembered time when her mind seems to bleed into other lives. Then, for class, she writes "White Space," a story about kids stranded in a spooky house during a blizzard.
But this creates one more issue: "White Space" is nearly identical to an unfinished novel about characters that jump off pages into other stories. But she's never seen that manuscript. No one has since the writer, killed years ago, never completed the book. Which means she's blinked into the head of a dead guy?
Or has she tripped into the nightmare of her own story? Because now Emma is trapped in a bizarre, fog-shrouded valley with other kids who have their own dark secrets and strange abilities.
The question then becomes is she real? Are the others? Or are they just characters who have all fallen between the lines into White Space-and can they escape before someone pens their end?

Books that I bought:

By: Brandon Sanderson

"For a thousand years since, the world has been a wasteland of ash and mist ruled by the immortal emperor known as the Lord Ruler. Every revolt has failed miserably.
Yet somehow, hope survives. Hope that dares to dream of ending the empire and even the Lord Ruler himself. A new kind of uprising is being planned, one built around the ultimate caper, one that depends on the cunning of a brilliant criminal mastermind and the determination of an unlikely heroine, a street urchin who must learn to master Allomancy, the power of a Mistborn."

I've been anticipating the read of this book and I'm super stoked that I found it, in great condition, for only $2 bucks!

By: Stephen King

"Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special twelve-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals."

I love every thing about Stephen King. Fingers Crossed this one doesn't let me down!! EXCITED!!!

By: Angie Sage

"The seventh son of the seventh son, aptly named Septimus Heap, is stolen the night he is born by a midwife who pronounces him dead. That same night, the baby's father, Silas Heap, comes across a bundle in the snow containing a new born girl with violet eyes. The Heaps take this helpless newborn into their home, name her Jenna, and raise her as their own. But who is this mysterious baby girl, and what really happened to their beloved son Septimus?"

A middle grade book that I've heard nothing but great things about. Can't wait to dig into this series!

I'm looking forward to a new month, February!
One of my favorite holidays is the month too
Hope Y'all had happy and successful January...
HAPPY READING Y'ALL!!

I've been interested in giving Septimus Heap a try for sometime now, maybe I will wait and check out your review first ;-) I love finding new books at book swaps/sales my daughter's school holds some every year with books for all ages. The one book by Brandon Sanderson that I read (Steelheart) I loved! So I'm very interested in reading more of his books.
